For TABLE
TABLE Magazine, a food and lifestyle publication based in Pittsburgh, was the first to pay me for something I'd written. I feel lucky to have been a contributor over the years. This is a piece from their Summer 2015 issue about the Somerset Mobile Food Bank, an initiative to end rural hunger in western Pennsylvania.
I took a recorder with me to interview the farmers, church organizers and recipients of the food. When I heard their voices, I had to turn it into an audio story for The Allegheny Front, too.
